Notes: Depicts the seated figure of Norna by fireplace, staff in hand, pointing to the fire, with the two sisters standing and listening [Ch. 19]. Forms (attached) frontispiece to vol. 2 of Bodleian copy of first edition of ‘The Pirate’, 3 vols (1822), interpreted in Todd & Bowden 156Dk as containing the three plates from ‘Illustrations of The Pirate’ (1825). The image is identical to that at #LAD0020, from ‘The Lady’s Magazine’, vol. 3, no. 3 (March 1822). Title/caption reference is to original edition. Engraver wrongly identified as Charles Heath in Todd & Bowden.
