Notes: Portrait of Queen Elizabeth, wearing a dress made out of a fabric featuring images of human eyes and ears, with quoted text from Ch. 15; EEWN 11, 142.5-9. A reengraving of a portrait published in Edmund Lodge's 'Portraits of Illustrious Personages of Great Britain' (1821), where it appears as no. 1 in vol. 4, with slightly different background and shading, engraved by W. T. Fry. Also appears in the Abbotsford Edition of the Waverley Novels: see #ABB0057.
