Notes: Depicts Roland Graeme in full armour on horseback, at the Battle of Langside, pointing his lance towards enemies, with Henry Seyton, also in armour but without helmet, exhausted by the side of the horse [Ch. 37]. Imprint of Hurst, Robinson, & Co., London (the secondary publishers on title-page). Also appears in 'A New Series of Illustrations of the Historical Romances of "The Author of Waverley"' (London: Hurst, Robinson, & Co., 1824) (see image), and in 'The Waverley Album' (London: Charles Heath, [1832]), facing p. 33. Vol. also includes title-page vignette of Warwick Castle as in vol. 8 of 1822 12mo issue, but with engraver given as Edward Finden.
