Notes: Depicts Fergus MacIvor, hand on scabbard, on a moonlit night confronting the Bodach Glas (Grey Spirit), who stands at the end of a foot-bridge [Ch. 59]. Imprint of Hurst, Robinson, & Co., London (the secondary publishers on title-page). Also appears in 'The Waverley Album' (London: Charles Heath, [1832]), facing p. 3 (see image). Vol. also includes title-page vignette of Holyrood Palace, as in vol. 2 of 1821 12mo issue, but with engraver given as Charles Heath.
