Notes: Depicts Alice Bridgenorth and Julian Peveril in a parlour at Black Fort in the Isle of Man, disturbed by the stern figure of Ralph Bridgenorth who has entered by the door [Ch. 13]. Imprint of Hurst, Robinson, & Co., London (the secondary publishers on title-page). Todd & Bowden place this plate in vol. 4. Also appears in 'The Waverley Album' (London: Charles Heath, [1832]), facing p. 43 (see image). Present vol. also includes title-page vignette of Holm-Peel as in vol. 7 of 1824 12mo issue, but with engraver given as Edward Finden.
