Notes: Depicts a distraught-looking Mowbray, clutching his hair with hand, confronting his seated sister Clara, with a vase of ornate flowers also prominent [Ch. 35]. Vol. also contains title-page vignette illustration of 'distant castle on a hill' [Todd & Bowden], drawn by J. B. Kidd and engraved by W. H. Lizars, apparently not used in any other set.
