Notes: Portrait of Queen Elizabeth, wearing a dress made out of a fabric featuring images of human eyes and ears. A reengraving of a portrait published in Edmund Lodge's 'Portraits of Illustrious Personages of Great Britain' (1821), where it appears as no. 1 in vol. 4, with slightly different background and shading, engraved by W. T. Fry. Also appears in Library Edition of the Waverley Novels, as vol. 12 frontispiece: see #LIB0023.
